International Freight and Cargo Coordination

One point of coordination for international shipments of industrial and project cargo, with transport arranged through suitable carriers and licensed forwarders.

Cargo securing in a ship's hold, illustrative.

Industrial cargo rarely moves on a single leg. A package may be collected from a fabricator, consolidated with other items, shipped by sea, cleared, trucked to a laydown area and finally delivered to a working site. Each hand-over is a point where schedules slip or documents go astray.

Inquina coordinates the movement end to end on your behalf: obtaining and comparing freight quotations, agreeing the route and mode, coordinating bookings with the selected providers, preparing shipment documentation with the supplier, and monitoring milestones through to delivery at the project destination.

Inquina is not a carrier and does not operate a fleet or vessels. Freight is booked with, and carried by, suitably licensed forwarders, shipping lines, airlines and hauliers chosen for each shipment. The contractual arrangements for each movement are confirmed in the quotation.

What we coordinate

Sea, air and road freight

International freight coordinated by the mode that best fits the cargo, schedule and budget.

Multimodal planning

Routes combining sea, air and road, with hand-over points and responsibilities defined.

Quotations and provider coordination

Freight quotations requested, compared and clarified with suitable providers.

Booking coordination

Shipment bookings coordinated through the selected forwarder or carrier.

Collection, consolidation and delivery

Collection from suppliers, consolidation where practical, dispatch and delivery to site.

Documentation and milestones

Shipment documents checked and milestones monitored from collection to delivery.

Project and time-sensitive cargo

Coordination of project packages and urgent shipments, where suitable providers and routes are available.

Typical challenges we help address

  • Multiple suppliers shipping independently to one project
  • No single view of shipment status across forwarders
  • Cargo arriving without complete or matching documents
  • Urgent replacement items with tight deadlines
  • Cargo that must be delivered to a constrained or remote site

What coordination aims to achieve

One accountable contact

Suppliers, forwarders and the site coordinated through one point of contact.

Informed mode and route choices

Options compared on schedule, handling and cost before booking.

Fewer documentation surprises

Documents checked before dispatch rather than at the border.

Dangerous goods, abnormal loads and other controlled cargo are only accepted where a suitably qualified and licensed provider is available for the route.
