Engineering requirements decide what can be bought and from whom; supplier lead times decide when it can arrive; and the delivery decides whether installation can start. When procurement is disconnected from engineering and logistics, technically non-compliant items, late documentation and missed delivery dates follow.
Inquina supports procurement from requirement to receipt: confirming specifications and quantities with the engineering team, identifying and, where applicable, pre-qualifying suppliers, issuing requests for quotation, comparing offers for technical compliance as well as price and delivery, and then following up purchase orders, vendor documents and delivery dates through expediting.
This extends the procurement and supply-chain approach already described in Inquina’s EPCM service: suppliers are expected to meet QHSE and environmental standards and to share the company’s code of business conduct.
