Asset integrity

Pipeline Integrity and Cathodic Protection

Pipeline integrity and cathodic protection is the company's most fully evidenced capability, supported by solar-powered and conventional cathodic protection systems, field surveys and condition monitoring of gas pipelines.

Pipeline construction, illustrative.

Corrosion control, inspection and monitoring are combined so that operators can assess pipeline condition, protect it from corrosion and maintain a documented record of the results.

Protection, inspection and monitoring

Cathodic protection

Solar-powered and conventional cathodic protection systems, supported by soil resistivity surveys.

Inspection and monitoring

Ultrasonic thickness and corrosion inspection, pressure testing and condition monitoring of gas pipelines.

Corrosion inspection

Ultrasonic thickness measurement, visual inspection and, where required, advanced techniques such as LRUT, MFL and pulsed eddy current.

Condition monitoring

Periodic measurement and trending of asset condition, using infrared thermography, vibration analysis and acoustic methods where applicable.

Inspection reporting

Findings recorded against asset, method, procedure and acceptance criteria, reviewed before issue and presented in the client's required format.

The integrity cycle

  1. Survey

    Soil resistivity surveys.

  2. Protect

    Solar-powered and conventional cathodic protection.

  3. Inspect

    Ultrasonic thickness and corrosion inspection.

  4. Test

    Pressure testing.

  5. Monitor

    Condition monitoring of gas pipelines.
